Let's discover together

Largo Maradona

One of the most famous murals in the city. It is located in the Quartieri Spagnoli, in via Emanuele de Deo. Starting from Naos, the quickest way to reach it by public transport is to take the metro to the MUSEO stop, about a 6-minute walk from the property, and get off at the TOLEDO stop (direction GARIBALDI). Once you get off in TOLEDO, a nice walk along the shopping street and you will finally arrive in front of this mural, considered by Neapolitan fans and numerous admirers of the pibe de oro, a sacred and cult place, famous throughout the world! The first version of the mural dates back to 1990, painted by Mario Filardi, a young artist who grew up in those streets, who decided to pay homage to Diego Armando Maradona for Napoli’s second championship victory. In 2016 it was restored by the artist Salvatore Iodice and finally in 2017 retouched by Bosoletti, a famous contemporary artist, creator of an equally splendid work on the facade of the building next door known as “ISIDE”.
