The Quartieri Spagnoli are a place that has now become very famous for tourists, for the particularity of the alleys and “vicarielli”, for the clothes hanging out, for the “vasci” or houses located on the ground floor directly overlooking the street.
Originally, they were called Quartieri Spagnoli because they were supposed to be a temporary camp, where the king’s troops were to be housed during the period of Spanish domination. Today they appear as a wonderful maze of alleys, where buildings and churches are often one and the same and the buildings overlap each other!
Starting from Naos, the quickest way to reach them by public transport is to take the metro to the MUSEO stop, about a 6-minute walk from the property, and get off at the TOLEDO stop (direction GARIBALDI).
Once you get off in TOLEDO, a nice walk through the shopping street and you can finally catapult yourself into a unique reality: are you ready?!
